Hello, I’m Nishant.

I’m a software engineer at Cisco focused on building dependable, intelligent applications for distributed environments.

At Cisco, I architect agentic AI platforms and cloud-native infrastructure where multi-agent workflows, shared memory, and MCP tools enable agents to collaborate across distributed environments. My recent work spans the IoC Cognitive Fabric Node platform, AGNTCY.org (a Linux Foundation project for agent interoperability), and AI gateways serving models across cloud providers.

That work rests on a foundation built from the packet up, beginning in the network data plane with how packets flow and what happens at every hop. The next chapter was the control plane, where I built SD-WAN products before moving into Kubernetes, service mesh, and cloud security. That path, from packets to platforms, still shapes how I build: understand the machinery deeply, then make it disappear for the people using it. Today, that means Istio, SPIFFE/SPIRE, multi-cloud systems, post-quantum cryptography assessment tools, and security guardrails for RAG pipelines.
